Unfulfilled

There I lay by your side
You brush my hair
Your fingers send a shiver down my spine
I hold my breath
When you look at me
And tease me with those eyes
Then you get up and go away
Leaving me empty deep inside
I smile weakly
Then learn to laugh
Without the twinkle in my eyes
I have no reason to be hurt
You had made me no promise
Yet those are a girl’s foolish dreams
And I am no exception
Though mine would be unfulfilled it seems

Another good poem by aashi...
Though i have a feeling that the title culd have been better...
This piece reflects emotions very well...something youth can relate easily both boys and girls...the poem maybe of a girl but boys can too find sumthing in it...The author has very intelligently left a message here too...that if a person leaves dont feel hurt, dunno blame ... its alrite to dream and wish....nowdays this is becuming so common ... a person leaves and the other indulges in accuses and things like that....
And lastly i also wished sumthing while reading this piece ....
i wished it goes long and big i wanted to hear more ....
no wonder they call it insatiable melody....out of 10 this poem gets a modest 9 from me

hey....
man the thing with these pieces is that they're open to perception....And it seems i really have a "dirty" mind because the first time i read it i thought it was about a well...uhhhhhhh...
dunno whether i shud say it but i thought it was about a prostitute n her dreams which she knows wud remain unfulfilled....
but then i read tushar's interpretation and i've decided not not to watch "dark" movies...too much explorin da dark side for me....
